The kids started Soccer Tots today and it was a success!! Katie more so than Austin but both are loving it! Here's a pic of Katie wanting to wear her shinpads. You don't need shinpads for soccer tots but no one told me this before I took the tags off. She loves them though and wanted to model them for the camera:

The kids are in back to back classes. Austin is up first in the 2 year old class. I didn't realize this was a parent participation class, so I was a bit overwhelmed since I had Kate sitting on the bench on the side. Here Austin was being excited that he was sitting on "his" orange spot:

Here's Austin kicking the soccer ball. Sorry I didn't have time to crop me out of it. By this time Stan had arrived to take some pics:

Here is Austin doing one of the running drills with a hula hoop. He was happier than he looks:

Katie was so well behaved on the sidelines, but was super excited for her turn to play:

OK, now here was today's superstar! Kate's class was so different. We never had to move from the benches, she was so independent and energetic. She took direction well, participated in everything and if I can brag a bit, was the fastest runner the while time!! She must have gotten her speed from Aunt She-She. This pic is for Shayla. Katie was an all star stretcher, she was the only kid who knew how to do the butterfly stretch (not pictured here):

She is so fast, I love it!!!!!! I was the annoying parent on the side cheering for her:

Here she is checking out her competition, just like those Olympic marathoners:

She has some things to learn about soccer though. She does really good, but she kept picking up the ball. No hands Kate, no hands!!!

It looks like they had a great time! We might have to try it later in the fall.
You'll have to fill me on this program.
