Life as a 1 month old

Here are some pics of Chase from Wednesday, his official one month birthday! He is about 11lbs and change now and officially growing out of clothes. His size 1 diapers are starting to get a bit snug too which is ridiculous! He still has the darker skin tone and hair but his eyes look like they want to go blue but we will see. He is eating every 3 hours at night so I am getting sleep in 2 and a half hour stretches, not too bad (although Stan would disagree because I make him do every nightime diaper change since it only take 5 minutes but helps me to sit down and get ready to feed). He sure is a growing boy!!

A trip to Padre

We went to South Padre Island this weekend for my dad's wedding. The trip started off a little rough as we had a three hour delay sitting on the plane to head down there. We did finally get there, but none of us got into our beds until 2 that morning. Here was Katie begging me to let her take all 4 dogs onto the plane with us, I think that would count as too many personal items!: Friday was full of beach fun and playground fun. Here was the sandy playground:Then we headed to the beach, the kids loved digging and collecting seashells:After the beach it was time to get showered up for dad's beach wedding. I don't have any pics from it because I was holding Chase the whole time. Here is a pic I snapped of Chase on the beach before it started though and one from the reception dinner of Chase: Saturday was full of more beach fun after a quick trip up to see Stan's parents newly remodeled house. Then another eventful trip home. Our flights were on time this leg and we arrived at the airport 5 minutes before our scheduled time. Then on our way to pick up our bags in baggage claim, we were diverted and evacuated due to a suspicious bag lying around (aka some person forgot to pick their bag up after their flight and then panic ensues). So we landed at 2:55PM and were allowed back in the airport to pick up our bags at 5:30PM. We finally got home at 8PM after picking up the dog and Stan's car. I am beat!

So last weekend we went to take some family pictures. Here are just a few of the incredible shots that we got. If you are interested in the photographer, I highly recommend her and would love to put you in touch with her. Her name is Kristine Leathers and she is located in Colleyville/Southlake area! She is well worth the drive!!

2 week appt

So Chase went to the dr on Tuesday for his 2 week checkup. He was 9lbs 7.5 oz (75th%) and 22 inches long now (90th %). Katelyn was his weight at about 7 weeks and Austin was his weight at about 5 weeks. He is going to be a big boy!

Pool Time

We took the kids to our neighborhood pool this afternoon to burn off some energy. We couldn't stay long but they did get to play in the wading pool with the inflatable rings. Katie is so brave now with dunking her head! Here are the pics:
