My nephew's 3rd birthday party was down at the lake, so we decided to head down early and do some fishing, boating, and swimming! The kids had a blast, Chase loved his first boatride, and as always the water slide was a big hit. I also noticed that I started this blog on his 1st bday and now little Ryan is 3 years old!! Happy 3rd to him and happy 2nd year of blogging to me :)

Happy Birthday baby!
So the day finally came, my littlest baby is turning one! The year flew by in a blink and I still cannot believe I have a toddler when I feel like he was just born yesterday. So we celebrated by indulging in a cake from the newest Wylie hot spot, Say it with Sugar. It is a cake shop owned by two sisters, one of which has competed and won in three different Food Network Challenges. The cakes turned out great and tasted yummy and the best news was that they were fat free and calorie free, wahoo! :) Here is my little man diving into his smash cake, flinging icing, and making a mess. I don't think he cared for eating it, but he did enjoy playing with it! Happy Birthday Chase, thank you for an amazing year filled with happiness, joy, laughter, tears, sleep deprivation, and love.

Warrior Dash
So today was the big Warrior Dash that we had been anxiously waiting for since January! So we packed on up and headed on down to Forney, down an old road in the middle of nowhere to get there. We were dooped by fake official parking signs and we ended up paying the same amount of money to park a mile away from the race. Lesson learned. So after our one mile warmup, we met up with some friends and listened to some live music, checked out the previous finishers mud looks, and scouted out costumes. Some of the costumes included: smurfs, boys in dresses, tutus, girls gone warriors who ran in white cotton panties, I found Where's Waldo three times, business men in full suits, santa, etc. People ran in all kinds of stuff. The course was supposed to be 3.51 miles with 14 obstacles included. It didn't seem like that long of a course but it was hard to tell since we were quite distracted. Hubby and myself stayed together the whole time which was nice to have someone to balance with in the muddy muck. We ran through muddy rivers, swam in a muddy lake, climbed up muddy embankments, slid down them, army crawled under barbed wire, climbed a cargo net, climbed over a hay stack, jumoed over some wooden spindle thingies, jumped over 2 fire pits, and just had an overall blast! Afterwards we got three free beers a piece (thanks to some issues with Kaufman county they couldn't sell us beer, they just had to give it to us!), and hung out and listened to some music. There were a whole lot of crazies in one place that's for sure! I don't have our times yet, they said they would be posted by tomorrow I think. My friend took most of the before and after pics, I will post them once I get my hands on them!
