Christmas Day

Santa arrived at our house and we had a merry day! The kids played with their gifts and had a blast with everything! Katie woke us up so excited (she peeked in the living room before coming to wake us up!) Katie got a new bike, Austin got a scooter, Castle got a mammoth sized ham bone, and Chase got a new farm (he has started taking the equivalent of 3 steps walking, but with crawling) . We also played in the remnants of the snow in the afternoon, I didn't get any pics of us playing when everything was white still! There is also a pic of Katie all dressed up in her new makeup!

So I have tons of pics to post from my dads house. We headed there early and got to see a whole lot of snow fall today and we were so excited!

We headed home for our tamale dinner, then to church in the snow, and back home to wait for Santa! I LOVE SNOW!!!!!!!!!!!

Cookie time

Today we baked our annual Santa cookies. This is where we let the kids take control and help bake and have complete decorative control over the cookies. This can sometimes be scary. Two years ago, K was shaking the green sprinkles into the dough and the top fell off and we ended up with VERY green cookies! This year, Austin had some overly decorated ones but everything was in good fun. The kids also got an early present, their new aprons. I tried to get them in the pictures, had to include a not so great one of Kate to show it.

Donuts with G&G

Grandma and Grandpa Hensley are in town so that means our donut breakfast bringers have arrived! They brought lots of colorful donuts for the kids to enjoy. Chase opted for some cherry puffs instead, he is always so healthy :)
