The cat came back

Katie's preschool class has a system where every week they get a new job. There is the electrician (they are in charge of turning on/off lights), the weather reporter, glue helper, librarian, line leader, crumb detective, etc. Well this week Katie was The Cat in the Hat (her whole curriculum is based upon this theme). This meant that Katie had to take The Cat in the Hat EVERYWHERE with her for a week and then write in a journal with pictures about the adventures they had. He had quite a lame visit with us due to sickness, but he did manage to watch lots of tv, go to soccer, and visit church. Here are a few of the pics:

"Walks"

Here we are in our many modes of transportation it takes us to get around these days. We have started taking Castle for walks again now that the weather is, for the most part, Spring like! In just one walk, we had two different strollers, a wagon, a tricycle, and a scooter. Yes they kept changing their minds before we left the driveway. What an effort!

Double life

Sweet Chase has been working a double life. Here you see what you are supposed to see, sweet little Chase:Here you see his double, BatChase, fighter of child straps, diaper changes, and naptime, lover of baby food, puffies, and bottles:No worries guy, see it's just me :)

The Chuck

After a very impatient week, it was finally time for Austin's big superhero Chuck E Cheese party. He was so happy and so excited about his day. He told everyone he saw that day, stranger or not, that it was his birthday and he had spiderman cupcakes and his party was going to be a Chuck E Cheese!!! He is so thankful for presents. I love that he thanks and hugs a person before even opening their present! Happy Birthday a week late, bubba :)

Art of Praise

Tonight the big kids had their preschool program. This is their 5th program in the 2 years at this school, and we still don't have participating children! Well Katie will do the motions and pretend to sing a little, but Austin just stood there looking at the other kids as if to say, what are you guys doing?? Anyways, its all in good fun, and I am so proud of them!

The great outdoors

We have been so couped up with Chase's sickness that today's sunshine was just enough to persuade me to let the kids play out front. Katie and Austin needed it so bad, Chase stayed in his exersaucer as long as he could before we had to head back in.

Happy 4th Birthday Boy

Today was Austin's 4th Birthday!!! We tried our best to make it a good day for him. We had been at the emergency room ALL night before, arrived back home as he was waking up for the day and we just did our best. After I took Katie to school, we went to Party City and let him pick out a balloon of his choice (Batman of course), then we picked up McDonalds pancakes to go home and eat with daddy. Stan went in late because of our endeavors and lack of sleep so myself Stan and Austin ate a birthday breakfast together before he went in to work. We gave him his presents from us and that was about all we could do. I was unable to leave the house and Chase wasn't letting me spend anytime with anyone but him. Austin was such a trooper. He even understood why we had to postpone his party by a week. Happy Birthday Bubba, my how time has flown!

Sickness hits

Poor Chase. Flu, RSV, ear infection, and temps up to 106. Bad week at the H House.
