Orange Belt

Austin was able to test for his orange belt today and he got it!! He is so super excited about it and he wants to keep going with the taekwando thing (aka karate because its easier to say and spell!)

My baby is turning 5 years old! We celebrated with friends, food, and cupcakes at a Mario Kart Wii themed bday party at the house. There were lots of rowdy boys in the house, but a good and messy time was had by all!

Yes we tortured the kids and let them play outside when the wind chill was below 0 degrees!! Chase was eating all the snow, that is why his face is so red......don't worry they didn't stay out too long but in Texas you embrace all the snow you can get!!!

Finally we got our snow for the season! We missed the first snow when we were in Disneyworld so I was so excited that at the end of the ice storm came beautiful fluffy white snow! Here are the pics from the 1st time we went out:

Ice Storm

What gets you 4 days off of school? A thick sheet of ice covering the entire DFW metroplex!!! We were completely trapped indoors during that time and it was too slippery to even go out. We tried the first day, as the pictures show below, when it was a blustery 14 degrees outside!!!! No one really enjoyed this!
