This morning I was supposed to run 22 miles for marathon training. Well Ike made this a difficult task with his high winds and rain. I ended up only being able to run 15 miles and at that I still got soaked on many occasions. So when I got home we knew it was time to come up with creative ways to entertain the kids on this rainy day, so here's what we did!
First we went to the library to stock up on books and movies for everyone. Then we went home and Katie had decided she wanted to test out mommy's clearance raincoat to see if it would stand up to the elements of Ike. Here they are playing away:

Then Austin decided, who needs a raincoat, I'm a little boy who likes to make my mommy's laundry day harder, so he ran around without it:
Then it was warm bubble bath fun after playing in the cold rain!
Next we put on our pajamas early and watched a Veggietale DVD that we borrowed from the library. So they were full of energy again so we built a fort for the kids to play in. I think me and Stan played in it the most though!

After fort playing it was time for some daddy bonding time. They took turns dressing up in his glasses and then played piggy back ride for at least an hour. Boy was daddy tired!!

What a great way to spend a rainy day!
