MK 5K

Well after being sick for almost a whole week, I was able to get my first run in since the Nike Human Race in Austin. We were doing the Mary Kay 5K, you know 3.1 miles. But of course, it was my turn to push the kids in the stroller so this run wasn't as easy as advertised. So I felt like we were running pretty good (notice I said "we" as if the kids were helping me at all!) and then we crossed the finish line at 27 minutes. If anyone knows me that's at least 5 minutes faster than I have ever run with a stroller before. But obviously I did not get faster after my sickness, the folks at RunOn messed up the course and we only did 2.6 miles. Depressing, I went from thinking I was the fastest mom in the world to thinking, wow, I run slow huh?! Stan was also running and had a great pace going but of course, no one wants a 2.6 mile time, we want 3.1 mile times to compare to previous runs. Oh well, there is always the Freedom Run on Thursday which we are also running!
