Happy 60th Birthday PawPaw!

We went down to Cedar Creek again to have some fun at the lake and also to celebrate my dad's 60th birthday! We had a surprise family gathering for him and he got to show off his new boat. Kate and Austin started their day by playing on the water slides again, no big surprise here! Then we decided it was time for a boat ride. Katie hasn't been a big fan of boats since she got sea sick on the boat island hopping in Hawaii, Austin too. So after a struggle to get Katie in her lifejacket, we were off in PawPaw's new boat. And to our surprise, they both loved the boat!! They made it about 30 minutes before they crashed out, here are the before and after shots:

Here is my sister-in-law and her two little ones, Faith and Ryan enjoying the boat ride:

Aunt She-She with her mini-me:Later in the day, Austin decided he really wanted back on that boat! He sat in it on the dock pretending to be driving it and had a blast with that, except he kept complaining that it wasn't working. So we decided later that it was time to let him drive the boat for real, he is 2 years old already and probably a far better driver than many ouut there on the water anyways. Then we started to pull out from the slip, and this was he reaction (he was so tired here but determined to drive):So PawPaw decided to give him a hand with the controls although Austin was convinced he was doing all the work:
When it was time for presents, my sister was able to come up with the best of all. She had Roger Staubach personally autograph a football that says Happy 60th Birthday Larry! My dad is a huge Cowboys fan, always has been. He works for them out at Valley Ranch and his newest perk is that he has now installed Tom Landry's toilet down at the lake for all of us to use. Kinda weird, but pretty cool! Only true Cowboy fans would understand how cool it is to sit in the same place he did!! Haha!

Here is Austin playing with the inflatable walker my dad has to use now that he is 60! Austin found good use of the Panic Button in the front. Everytime Katie comes around, he knows he needs to squeek it!
Well that was our exciting Saturday, now it's off to recovery clean up Sunday!!
