Tonight we began to celebrate our "staycation" or our vacation at home, with a trip to the Ranger game! We got to the ballpark, got parked, got our tickets, and headed to our seats in left field. They were great seats, well they were great seats for about 5 minutes when the rain started coming down on us. We decided that this would be a great time to head downstairs and eat. Nachos, hotdogs, and drinks later, we had been in a rain delay for about an hour. At this time we were able to head back to our seats and start watching the game. The attendants were so nice that they gave us lots of paper towels to clean our chairs. Well, the kids took it one step farther and decided to clean all the chairs in our section to keep them entertained! Then we tried the Nestle Cookie Ice Cream Sandwiches aka "Big Kahunas" and it turns out the kids weren't interested in more than a couple of bites a piece. So me and Stan had to eat almost a whole one each (I will pay for this on my Saturday long run!). Then Katie wanted cotton candy so we caved and it turns out, Austin was freaked out by it and Katie only ate a small handful before being done with it. About the 4th inning the kids were completely bored so we found a picnic area where they could run wild while me and Stan kept watching the game. Katie pretended to do pushups on the picnic table (aka "playing Stroller Strides"), did some interpretive dance, and chased Austin around loudly. So we called it quits about the 5th inning and headed home. On the way out we had to stop and smell the flowers for Kate! We found out on the radio that the Randers did go on to win that game so yea for that!
