Today we celebrated America with a fun filled day of cooking and fireworks! This morning me and the kids made chocolate chip muffins, then we made and decorated patriotic cupcakes, and to end the night we went to the City of Sachse's fireworks extravaganza! We kept them up 2 hours past their bedtime with cookies, cupcakes, and Sprite so they were able to stay up late enough. When we got there, they were selling those light up necklaces so of course, we had to get the kids a couple. At many points during the firework show, the kids were more interested in these than the pyrotechnics! Our dog, Castle was not a huge fan, but he was a trooper in my lap the whole time.
