Blastball

This morning the kids had their first Blastball game (baseball for 3 and 4 year olds). Instead of having nice Spring weather like we anticipated, it was very cold and very windy. The kids were freezing and unhappy about the wind blowing in their faces. So it didn't go quite as well as we had hoped but overall they did well. The first time up to bat (when we took pics) the kids were nervous and needed some help but by their second time up to bat, both did great on their own (we got so excited we forgot to take pictures then!). Katie had fun playing the field, she was always trying to get the ball. Austin on the other hand, played in the dirt, didn't wear his glove, and could care less of what was happening around him! Oh well we still have 7 games to go, plenty of time for improvement! They are the Black Pirates so first off Katie was unhappy that their colors were so boy-ish, not to mention the drab too big for her baseball pants! We have a bye next week so no pics for two weeks but hopefully we will have better weather and better spirits for that game!
